As the S.C. School Funding Trial concluded for the week Wednesday with testimony from State Education Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum, Newsweek magazine is preparing its Brown v. Education retrospective, which includes coverage of the ongoing trial in Manning.
Over the past few months, Newsweek interviewed members of the DeLaine family, who helped initiate the first desegregation lawsuit to reach the Supreme Court, and attorneys with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, which is representing the rural school districts challenging how South Carolina funds public education.
Newsweek's Brown v. Education edition is scheduled to be on newsstands next Monday.
